Prosil
Prosil is a silane coupling agent formulated as a 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane hydrolyzate in an ethanolic solution, developed by FGM Dental Group. It serves as a chemical bonding agent to enhance adhesion between resin-based materials and substrates such as ceramic, ceromer, laboratory composites, and fiberglass posts.
- High adhesiveness
- Easy use
- for ceramic pieces, laboratory resin, and fiberglass posts.
Key Benefits:
- Increased Adhesion: Prosil enhances the bond strength between resinous substrates, promoting a stable chemical union.
- Efficient Application: The application process is straightforward and requires only one minute, streamlining clinical procedures.
- High Bonding Capability: It can improve adhesive strength by up to 30%, ensuring durable restorations.
- Convenience: application protocol of only 01 minute.
Indications:
Prosil is indicated for silanization to promote stable chemical bonds between resins or adhesives containing methacrylic monomers and pieces made of ceramic, ceromer, laboratory resin, or fiberglass posts.
Application Protocol:
- Surface Preparation: For ceramic or ceromer pieces, etch the internal surface with hydrofluoric acid (e.g., Condac Porcelain by FGM) following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Rinse thoroughly with water and dry completely.
- Silanization: Apply a thin layer of Prosil to the treated surface and allow it to react for one minute.
- Drying: After the reaction time, gently air-dry the surface to evaporate any solvents, leaving a ready-to-bond surface.
Packaging:
Prosil is available in a 4g bottle.
