Whitepost System, Fiber post system by FGM
The Whitepost system from FGM Dental Group is a high-performance glass fiber post system designed for intracanal reinforcement in endodontically treated teeth. These posts provide high mechanical strength, optimal aesthetics, and excellent adhesion to restorative materials, making them ideal for long-term restorations.
Restoration of endodontically treated tooth to assist in the retention of the restorative material and distribute stresses imposed on the tooth.
Key Features & Benefits
✔ Composed of High-Quality Glass Fibers: Made of >80% glass fibers, ensuring high mechanical strength and flexibility, reducing the risk of root fractures. The fiber content allows for a modulus of elasticity similar to dentin, which helps in stress distribution and prevents catastrophic failures.
✔ Radiopaque for Easy Identification: High radiopacity ensures the post is clearly visible on radiographs, assisting in treatment planning and post-placement verification.
✔ Superior Adhesion: The surface is pre-silanized, enhancing the chemical bonding with resin cements and core buildup materials.
Ensures a strong and durable bond between the post and the root canal dentin.
✔ Aesthetic and Metal-Free: The translucent glass fibers allow light transmission, ensuring better aesthetics compared to metal posts.
Prevents metallic shadowing in ceramic and composite restorations.
✔ Easy to Shape and Cut: Can be adjusted and cut easily without generating heat buildup, which could affect bonding.
✔ Double taper design: Better adaptation to the canal without requiring further wear on the dental structure.
Esthetics and excellent translucency: High esthetic capacity and excellent light conductivity, help the light curing of the cement.
✔ Exclusive drill: Specific for each size of the post, leading to a standardized root preparation.
✔ High Safety: Modulus of elasticity similar to dentin, reducing the risk of radicular fracture.
Whitepost DC vs. Whitepost DCE: What's the Difference?
FGM offers two variations of the Whitepost system, each designed to meet different clinical needs:
1. Whitepost DC (Double Conical Design)
Shape: Double conical (tapered at both ends).
Indication: Best suited for root canals that have been conically prepared using rotary or manual instrumentation techniques.
Advantages:
- Provides an anatomical fit in most canals, reducing the amount of cement needed.
- Ideal for wider and more naturally tapered canals.
- Allows for a stronger and more uniform stress distribution along the post.
2. Whitepost DCE (Cervical Enlargement Design)
Shape: Double conical with a cervical enlargement (wider coronal portion).
Indication: Best suited for canals that require additional cervical reinforcement, particularly when the coronal portion of the tooth is weakened.
Advantages:
- Provides extra support in the cervical region, which is critical in cases where substantial tooth structure is missing.
- Reduces the risk of cervical fractures, making it particularly useful for teeth with extensive coronal destruction.
- Ensures a better fit in wide coronal areas with less need for excessive cement.
Indications for Use
✔ Post-and-core buildup for endodontically treated teeth.
✔ Reinforcement of weakened roots before final crown placement.
✔ Restoration of teeth with significant coronal loss where traditional restorations would be insufficient.
Whitepost System – Available Sizes
The Whitepost DC and DCE systems come in different diameters to match the anatomical needs of various teeth. The sizes range from DC 0.5 to DC 3 and DCE 0.5 to DCE 3, with increasing diameters.
Packaging, white post | Fiber Post
Available in kits and refill packs containing fiber posts and drills specifically designed for accurate post preparation.
- Whitepost DC-E Refill( Without Drill): containing 5 posts of the same size.
- Whitepost DC and DC-E Kit: Kit containing the posts DC 0.5, DCE 0.5, DC 1, DCE 1, DCE 2, 05 posts of each size (total of 25 posts), their respective drills, and a template for post-selection.
- Whitepost Intro DC Kit (Post with Drill): Packaging containing 05 posts of the same size and their respective drill. Available in the sizes: DC 0.5, DC 1, DC 2, DC 3.
This system provides a versatile, high-strength, and aesthetic solution for post-endodontic restorations, ensuring longevity and biomechanical compatibility with the natural tooth structure.
